In this podcast, Sharece talks about her life growing up as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and what it was like facing the tragic death of a close friend. She talks about the positive relationships she forged with individuals in one congregation and shares a stark contrast on how she was treated at other congregations.

Sharece helps us to appreciate how she became involved with the Jehovah’s Witness faith and what it was like when she walked away from it all upon deciding to relocate from Connecticut to Atlanta to attend a private college. Little did she know that in heeding a simple admonition from her mother to attend the annual Memorial celebration of Jehovah’s Witnesses commemorating Jesus’ death, would start her down a path that would pull her deeper into the religion.

Eventually, she begins networking with various individuals within her circuit in Atlanta and becomes a social butterfly, enjoying everything the Jehovah’s Witnesses have to offer. She goes as far as cutting off all ties with current relationships. Her boyfriend gets concerned as he notices a stark change in her attitude and asks her why she’s talking and even walking differently. With true concern he asks, “what happened to my girlfriend?”. Her quick response is, “what we have is over” and continues to inform him that she is rekindling her relationship with the Jehovah’s Witnesses.

She’s got this bubbly personality that wreaks of passion for the theater and explains how she woke up and realized the Jehovah’s Witnesses do not have the truth as they proclaim. Instead of having a bitter attitude about her past, she uses her past experiences to her advantage by incorporating them as themes for her plays

In this interview she pours her heart out discussing what it was like living from paycheck to paycheck due to her decisions to pioneer and work part time. While it is taking time to dig herself out of her financial hole, she has a positive attitude and is forging ahead and not looking back.

She’s full of life has a lot of enthusiasm, drive and ambition and her willingness to survive despite her circumstances is a true testament to her success.
